Please select from the list above. If you wish to "justify" your selection, feel free to do so.
Justify your reasoning if you can.
If you do not see a TV Series listed you feel is better than those in the list, select OTHER and again, justify your response.

I chose "FarScape" because it went places no other show did. It also touched on subject material other shows tried to avoid, in a more adult-like manner.
It had action, sex, violence, a great story line, humor and drama. It could move from serious drama to humor in an instant and back again.
I think "Babylon 5" would be the "second-best", but the poll can only allow ONE vote per person.

I chose Babylon 5 first just because thats the show that got me into everything that is Sci-Fi and just because of how the plot twisted as much as it did If one of the dune movies was on there (preferrably Children of Dune), that would have been my first choice

Umm tark umm with battlestar isnt it more like a drama? I like how they make the space scenes so unlike others. I think there is too much sex (can i say that in the forum?)

Popedope, not sure what you are referring to about Battlestar. I chose "Farscape" and said "Babylon 5" was a very close second. "Battlestar Galactica" is new on Sci-Fi. Yes, it is a drama in many ways. There certainly is no comedy there. It is pretty much a dramatic event. The graphics are pretty good and the manner in which it was filmed keeps your eyes on the screen. Yes, there is more discussion (and visuals) about sex in this more adult version. The entire series is more "adult". By that, I mean it is not a light-hearted type show with comic relief here and there. It dwells on the "characters" and who they are, how they related to each other. There are some pretty good action scenes, but the thrust of the show is about the characters and how they deal with problems. I am rather impressed with it so far and would recommend it to any Sci-Fi fan so they can make up their own mind. Personally, I like it.
