one of my favorite fantasy games on the PC of all time (like many others) is Diablo II.
Most of us have probably played this game or heard about it at one time or another so that can save me the time of having to describe it.
The perks of this game in my mind is how it is set up in the timeline with its almost in the dark ages, medieval some places, and all around the world in its worst days (or at the time at least)
I dont really have any dislikings about this game in any way shape or form except for that of the lag in online play but thats something everyone has to deal with
please discuss this amongst each other about what you also like and dislike about it

I played the Demo of Diablo 1, but never got any further than that. I like Neverwinter Nights better. Always a fan of the more realistic D&D stuff. Have several of the D&D books on game play. Guess Diablo just never really interested me enough. Too many other things on the table (so to speak).

hey no worries Everyone is entitled to their own personal likings (despite prophs "hatred" of all things GeForce) and if you want you can "discuss" why you like NWN better than Diablo besides that of more realistic D&D, like if you can recall the gameplay of Diablo, the differences between the two, what you liked out of what little you played, what NWN has that Diablo doesnt, etc. Its all up to you

Well, in brief, I only played the Diable Demo, so I may not have had the Best experience. It was OK, and I did not "hate" or "dislike" it. I just felt NWN was somehow "better". It is only subjective and my own opinion about what I like. In NWN, I like the alternative ways of approaching each level and the non-linear structure of the game. I liked the ability to choose from a wide area of races and classes. I played D&D "before" it was placed on Computers, drawing maps in pencil, rolling "real" dice and loved it. So I think the "history" of D&D has a lot to do with it. Just something you kind of "grow up" with and sticks with you. There is a much more familiar feel to it. Also, many other "companies" just duplicated the concepts for themselves. Kind of like a "sequel" to a movie. I have several of the "reference" manuals for D&D as well. In fact, I used to play around creating Dungeon Master programs to determine the stats of each character in the old BASIC language. Hope this helps explain a little. I have nothing against Diablo. I just prefer something else. If there is interest in Diablo "here", I would have no problem adding it to the list of games. I would not be involved in it much, but would welcome others to be if so inclined.

Diablo 2 is cool, completed it on all the hardness, but got borred half way threw the addon (got it after I completed it on nightmare, think it was called that or something anyway)
The barbarian was awesome, the necromancer added some cool stuff to it
